CALLING ALL WINDWARD WRITERS... WE'RE HEADING TO THE WINDWARD SIDE!

Aloha kākou! 

We are looking for first-time writers on the Windward side to attend a FREE workshop hosted by two celebrated Hawai'i-based theatre artists: Daniel A. Kelin, II and Harry Wong, III. In a group setting, Daniel and Harry will guide first-time writers through the playwriting process while giving professional advice about everything from play structure to character development to writing compelling dialogue.

This workshop is intended for writers who have not previously written a play.  Those who have, please stay tuned for upcoming workshops designed for you!

The workshop will be held at the Windward Community College on October 15, 2022 from 9am to 4pm.

Admission is free but limited to 20 aspiring writers. 10 students will be from the Windward Community College Theatre Program. 10 other attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. All attendees must register by 3pm on Friday October 14th.  Anyone under the age of 18 must submit a parental consent form which is attached to this email. Participants are responsible for providing their own  laptop and/or notebook and writing utensil to the workshop.

Lunch will be provided. Upon registration for the course, please indicate if you have any food allergies. 

The workshop will be indoors; face masks are required.
