Script Synopsis:
Polly Amnesia—orphan, magician, punk—takes the stage for her one-woman magic show. Throughout her act, she attempts to sort hope from delusion, dreams from bullshit and true magic from trickery as she recounts her quixotic quest to solve the mystery of her own identity and the family that abandoned her. But in tonight’s performance, something is going terribly wrong ...
Director Tony Pisculli is looking for actors to play the following roles.
POLLY AMNESIA- A mixed-race, queer woman in her 20s. (Two women will be cast in this role)
BEARY MUCH- Polly’s stuffed bear, loved almost to rags. He speaks with the voice of a young girl.
[DAVE] THE TECH- Any age, race or gender. Change name to suit. Has a few lines but also runs tech for the show.
LISSA THE STAGEHAND- A queer woman within a few years of Polly’s age. Secretly in love with Polly.
