Submit Plays

We would love to read your script!

If you have written a one-act or full-length script about life in Hawaiʻi or dealing with the history of these islands, here's an opportunity to submit it to Kumu Kahua Theatre for consideration.

Scripts submitted are not guaranteed to be produced or otherwise used by Kumu Kahua Theatre in any way. Once you submit your script, you maintain sole ownership and all rights of it. Submitted scripts will receive a confirmation email from the theatre, and whether your script is under consideration or not, you will be contacted by an agent of Kumu Kahua Theatre within three months of submission.

Please note that this submission is not related to either our monthly Go Try PlayWrite or annual Kumu Kahua Theatre/UHM Theatre and Dance Department playwriting contests. Please see our respective playwriting contest pages for further information about those.
