Anette Arinix Amazing Aga is a Polynesian filmmaker, actor, and writer with a passion for telling bold, diverse stories that showcase the full spectrum of Pasifika experiences. Her work blends the humor and heart of her cultural heritage with fresh narratives that challenge stereotypes. As a first-generation Samoan-American, growing up between cultures has shaped her unique storytelling approach.
Anette began her career as an actor, performing in stories written by others, but soon realized she wanted to be the one crafting those stories—plotlines that celebrate both the diversity and commonality of the human experience through a Pasifika lens. This led to the creation of hit sketch comedy variety show, Polynesian AF.
In 2024, Anette starred in and co-produced SO MUCH NATURE, recently featured at the Hawaii International Film Festival. She is excited to continue her film journey as an 'Ohina Fellow and hopes you'll stay tuned for her next short!
